Mechanical Design Engineer, Transformer

Job description / Role

Job Purpose

This Position exists to perfrom developing new design in accordance with Customer specifications efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Accountability Areas
- Prepare mechanical design from primary up to the final preparation of the transformerproducts conforming to customer and projects specification.
- Studying Specifications of new Inquiries and tenders in order to determining the compliance and Deviations for Mechanical Points and Making required drawings (outline, accessories, foundationsÂ...) of tender.
- Release timely the required drawings needed for the fabrications according to the monthly plan.
- Provide specification in order to ensure the products and materials are conforming to therequired and applicable standards. To provide and select the suitable materials and optimize design to minimize the number of nonstandard design/products.
- Prepare the standard fabrication drawings, such as PSS housing, LVPs and Transformer cable box in order to minimize the time for fabrication release.
- Upload and provide the required materials in SAP system in order to bring the materials ontime for the project execution.
- Re-study the process, materials and assembly in order to achieve the optimize cost withoutrisking the quality of the products.

Role Accountability
- Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
- Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
- Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Requirements

- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience
- 5 to 10 Years
