Job description / Role

Responsibilities and key tasks

- Directs the doctors about the organization's clinical programs.
- Works closely with physicians and surgeons to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained.
- Oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and other accreditation standards.
- Evaluates developments in medical care and makes recommendations to the doctors for new practices and procedures.
- Advises CEO and medical teams on matters impacting patient care.
- Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function.
- Contributes to major goals to support broad functional objectives
- Member in process of Privileging and credentialing of doctors .
- Monitors the Doctor’s skills, clinical outcomes,
- Ensures ethical practices and adherence to quality standards by doctors
- Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments
- Ensures that all practices in the department adhere to hospital standards and code of medical ethics.
- Addresses concerns and requests posed by doctors.

Requirements

- Staff management of doctors
- Medical Delivery Systems.
- Ability to ensure quality medical cover to all OPD/IPD cases HIS
- Behavioral/Leadership Competencies
- Problem solving & decision making.
- Excellent public dealing
- Excellent man management skills in dealing with doctors
-Tenacity, Planning, Organizing & Execution.

Education/Experience
- Medical Doctor preferably with a degree/ Diploma in Hospital/Healthcare management ;MBA Preferably with 9+ years of experience out of which at least 4 years as Administrative Medical Superintendent / Deputy
- Medical Superintendent of a reputed Hospital.
