Overview

We are seeking an experienced Non-metallic Specialist Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Team within our Assets Technical Solutions Department (ATSD).

ATSD is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements of Domestic Refining & NGL Fractionation Admin Area and Saudi Aramco Affiliates. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of Global Manufacturing, operating facilities management, and driving the performances of operating facilities in executing corporate programs and initiatives towards operational excellence and value creation.

Your primary role will be to provide technical evaluation and assessment of non-metallic applications, in the refining, NGLF, and petrochemical plants.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

• Scouting for & introducing qualified non-metallic products and applications.
• Serve on international standards writing bodies as the opportunity allows.
• Participate in value engineering sessions for non-metallic products.
• Develop & update existing standards, procedures and best practices.
• Develop, introduce and/or implement viable new Nonmetallic technologies (e.g. oil and gas, building and construction).
• Lead investigations and evaluate product deficiencies of the manufacturers.
• Provide support in design and construction of the nonmetallic (e.g. pipe, composite repair, structural component) product system.
• Provide support in the additive manufacturing
• Implement best-in-class solutions pertaining to nonmetallic applications, as foreseen by international standards, in order to support the company vision of continuous improvement throughout collaboration and people conversation.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
• You must have a bachelor degree in nonmetallic materials, Polymers, Chemical or Materials engineering.
• You should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the material engineering discipline, with at least 5 years of specialized experience in nonmetallic applications in oil and gas industry.
• Excellent knowledge in nonmetallic products (e.g. piping, tanks, valves, downhole tubulars, composite structures) qualification and testing, consultation, failure analysis, recommendations and technical support.
• In-depth knowledge in International Engineering Standards and Specifications (e.g. API 15HR, API 15S, API 17J).
• Familiarization in nonmetallic piping, tanks and vessels manufacturing, thermoplastic lining processes, piping installation and hydrotesting.
• Affiliation with professional societies is highly desirable such as ASME, API, ISO, and NACE.
