Job description / Role
• Manage and control the resources of the plant so as to meet production deadlines in accordance with specifications, with maximum levels of efficiency and quality, and within budget;
• Prepare annual production plans and co-ordinate execution of production schedules based on sales requirements, plant capacity and inventory;
• Ensure accurate measurement of raw materials and monitor the raw materials consumption with respect to the volume of products produced;
• Supervise daily quality control sampling of aggregate properties and record results appropriately;
• Coordinate the handling of all materials required for the production process, ensuring Quality Assurance at all stages of concrete manufacturing;
• Recommend changes in plant layout, production process and manpower requirements;
• Ensure effective use of manpower, material and equipment; and
• Responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior or management deem fit.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent;
• At least 10 years of relevant working experience at managerial level in Ready Mix or Build Environment;
• Familiar with concrete Sales, Operations, QC, payment terms, pricing, concrete properties, admixture technologies and applications;
• Familiar with SSEN, ACI, ASTM, and BS/EN standards or specifications for Civil Engineering and concrete;
• Supervisory experience of Plant Manager and QC Manager;
• Experience in handling and meeting external structural consultants;
• Proficient in written and spoken English;
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills; and
• Ideal skills in leadership, people management, conflict management, strategic thinking, business negotiation, persuasive, decision making, deadline oriented, budget development, critical thinking & problem solving, planning & organizing and stress tolerance.
