Overview

We are seeking a Pet S/S Logistics Specialist to join the Crude Scheduling & Claims Management division of Crude Oil Sales & Marketing Dept.

The Crude Scheduling & Claims Management division is responsible for:
- Allocating crude oil exports.
- Ensuring transportation & storage are available for crude oil sold on a delivered basis.
- Monitoring the loss of crude oil and addressing quality and quantity claims with customers.
- Administrating the Contract of Affreightment (COA) between Bahri and Bolanter.
- Analyzing, recovering, and settling demurrage claims for FOB crude & LPG customers, CIF & Ex-ship crude customers, and Bahri's freight & demurrage claims.

The Pet S/S Logistics Specialist primary role is to Provides or coordinates technical, commercial, legal, administrative, financial and operational planning and support for Saudi Aramco's domestic and overseas bulk crude oil and refined products sales and supply logistics. Requires both operational and business expertise to routinely coordinate with all levels of Management and professionals with customers, suppliers, refineries, storage terminals, pipeline operators, shipping companies and specialized service contractors. A senior expert within this profession, the incumbent shall coordinate human resource management by supervising and mentoring subordinates, assess competencies and recommend development plans.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Coordinates, in the most economic and efficient manner possible, deliveries of crude oil from Saudi Aramco's FOB export and delivered basic crude oil sales. Based on the Kingdom's current production quota, worldwide deliveries of crude.

Minimizes financial loss and exposure by recommending and monitoring commercial, technical and administrative controls for the above worldwide operations. Proposes and provides special studies and analysis to enhance or optimize sales realizations.

Reporting to the Department Manager, the incumbent will handle his ongoing assignments with full independence.

Normally functions as a Group Leader in the Sales and Marketing Logistics department. As a working supervisor he will be responsible for human resources management in his group.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, any of the Physical Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Maritime Studies, Maritime Law or Naval Architecture.At least fifteen (15) years' experience in the oil industry some background in either Petroleum Sales/Supply Logistics, Commercial Shipping, Maritime Law, Refinery or Terminal Planning or Operations, Petroleum Accounting or Auditing. Enhanced experience shall be seagoing experience on bulk petroleum tankers while holding a United Kingdom department of Transport Class 1, Foreign Going (Deck) Certificate of Competency or employment as an independent petroleum cargo surveyor plus management level experience with an industry respected inspection firm having concentrated involvement in the implementation of industry accepted measurement/safety standards, quality assurance programs, internal auditing and personnel training.

Excellent verbal and written communications in English is an absolute requirement and knowledge of verbal and written Arabic is a plus but not a requirement.
