PL/SQL Developer

Job description / Role

- Good knowledge of database triggers
- XML extraction/creation with suede-code.
- Good Knowledge of Views/Materialized Views
- Good Knowledge of PLSQL Functions.
- Normalization is also important as far as Sql commands are concerned.
- Work closely with business partners to gather and clarify business requirements.
- Work with upstream and downstream risk management systems to implement enhancements and new business requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance for a small team of developers to implement strategic solutions to enhancing existing system and implement new functionality and features.
- Prepare business-friendly reports and documentation for review with business partners and secure their sign-off.
- Respond to urgent production issues related to process failures or data quality issues. These must be followed by root-cause analysis, tactical remediation, and strategic solutions.
- Design and Develop database technology solution to support a resilient and scalable infrastructure on RDBMS database technologies.
- Adhere to the set database architecture best practices, standards and guidelines for data modeling, database design, programming, and physical storage.
- Review ongoing projects and identify opportunities to conform to strategic data architecture and design.
- Perform database design, development and code reviews. Provide technical guidance to production support team by investigating/resolving critical database issues.

Must be thorough in exceptions handling
- Standard exceptions
- User Defined exceptions

Requirements

- Candidate should have at least 4 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in development on PostgreSQL Database
- Must have demonstrated design skills using object oriented design patterns.
- Must have good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must have extensive experience in PL/SQL, XML, data modeling, db design, db programming, and developing highly per formant, scalable, secure and resilient solutions
- Should be able to review the design and development of other database developers to ensure the quality and consistency as per defines guidelines and standards.
- Should have expert level knowledge of PL/SQL XML & SQL Tuning. Experience in developing and supporting high volume ETL process. Skill set on ETL Tool is a big plus.
- Should be self starter, self motivated, able to work under pressure in case of urgent system issues and tight deadlines

Afras was set up in 1976 to compete for building, and hospital operation and maintenance contracts in the central region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
