Employment: Part Time

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join a leading international consultancy PMO Team.

As a Planning Construction Strategy Lead. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in determining the most effective delivery strategies for large and complex projects. Your responsibilities will span from benchmarking against similar projects to developing realistic timelines and budgets. You will contribute to enhancing project build ability, minimising risks, and optimising construction periods.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
• Evaluate and benchmark against similar projects to determine optimal delivery approaches.
• Analyze key metrics, assess delivery options, and develop realistic timelines and budgets.
• Formulate construction and logistics strategies to identify constraints, risks, and resource requirements.

Implementation Analysis:
• Develop and analyze implementation options in coordination with the masterplan/design.
• Utilize databases and industry experience to validate timeframes, costs, and options.
• Conduct comprehensive studies on resources, infrastructure, transport, and security.

Program Development:
• Create integrated strategic programs covering design, approvals, procurement, and construction.
• Evaluate technical solutions to guide construction build ability and methodology.

Visualization and Communication:
• Produce graphical visualisations of project phases for effective communication.
• Provide support for the development of delivery strategies, including procurement and packaging strategy.

Studies and Presentations:
• Develop specific studies and presentations as required.
• Review and contribute to feasibility studies produced by other teams.

Risk Assessment and Reporting:
• Assess key implementation risks and compile comprehensive reports and presentations.

Coordination:
• Facilitate coordination among different teams to ensure cohesive studies and deliverables.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
• Track record experience in planning large, high-profile, complex capital programs.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Skills and Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of the design, procurement, and delivery process for large and complex projects.
• Extensive experience in overall design/planning for significant building or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of process-based design and management techniques.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proven ability to communicate and influence at senior management levels.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and other relevant software.
