Principal Mechanical Engineer - Sphere Design

Job Description (Sphere Design)
- Have 15+ years of extensive experience in the design and engineering of Spheres and its support structures for ambient & low temperature, cryogenic and gas storage services.
- Have experience in FEED & Detailed Design types of projects involving spheres; Experience in revamping and upgrade of the above equipment will be an added advantage.
- Have strong experience in reviewing and approving the design calculations of the tank in accordance with ASME SEC VIII and for supports.
- Have sound knowledge in the selection of materials and Corrosion Control Measures for tanks in the above applications.
- Have strong knowledge about the insulations for tanks and other tank accessories.
- Have sound knowledge about the construction, commissioning, operation and control philosophies of the above tanks
- Be capable of leading a team of engineers in the design of tanks.
- Experience in design by analysis of the tank using ANSYS or equivalent and the supports using STADD PRO or equivalent will be definite advantages.

Requirements

The following will be added advantages:
- Experience in the designing of other static equipment such as Vessels, Columns, Bullets, Above ground storage tanks for cryogenic/refrigerated and non-refrigerated liquids.
- Knowledge of applying value engineering concepts in the design of sphere tanks.
