The role of the Production Director is to manage the Production Department of a Sugar Refinery based in Yanbu KSA

Client Details

* My client is a joint project between two major industrial companies who are listed on the stock exchange of their respective countries and a Saudi partner who is a leading industrial investor.
* They are looking to establish one of the biggest sugar refineries in the region based in Yanbu and they are currently seeking a Production Director to support them with project planning, commissioning and running operations.

Description

* Production Director will Manage the Refinery Production functions in the Process House, the Packaging Plant, Power House and in all dependant production facilities.
* Ensure smooth inbound and outbound information flows
* Support Refinery Plant Managers in achieving customer satisfaction
* Drive the Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (QCDP) performance and the corresponding budgets in the plants of which he/she is in charge
* Be actively engaged in the Business Group industrial strategy, and in the corresponding budgets and investments
* Optimize assets utilization across plants and make sure contingency plans exist for all plants
* Ensure the manufacturing readiness for all programs
* Together with the Purchasing function, support Plants Managers in achieving superior external supplier performance
* Drive the implementation of the Refinery Excellence System in the plants and drive plant improvement networks
* Support Plant Managers in achieving Health, Safety & Environment results
* Develop future Refinery experts and managers

Requirements

Successful Production Director candidate will have:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration or related field.
* Over 15 years' experience managing production within a mass producing sugar refinery.
* Experience and ability to improve processes and KPIs within a plant using lean manufacturing principles.
* Previous plant launch experience from project planning to commissioning.
