This position is for an Engineering Consultancy

The Role

To lead a multi-discipline contract administration and site supervision team of up to 35 staff on a major high rise corporate/commercial office building project, comprising a 385 m tall, 75-storey office tower and 25 m tall podium as part of a new urban development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Reporting to the Project Director and Senior Management, the appointment involves acting as the firm’s senior representative on site during the post-contract project. Responsibilities will include, but will by no means be limited to:

- Managing and directing the activities of the project contract administration and site supervision (CASS) team in relation to technical, financial and administrative issues.
- Liaising with the Client, the Client’s Project Manager and the Main Contractor as appropriate regarding issues arising in relation to contract administration and site supervision.
- Liaising with other project stakeholders and external organizations, including the Master Developer regarding permitting, logistics and coordination in relation to works by other developers and contractors connecting to or in the vicinity of the project.
- Liaising with the Head Office support and design team, including specialist sub-consultants as required in relation to Contractor’s RFI’s, proposals for design modifications, etc.
- Ensuring conformance with established procedures and processes for construction contract administration and site supervision
- Ensuring Contractor’s compliance with all technical, programme, financial and
administrative requirements of the construction contract through the activities of the CASS team.
- Chairing of regular progress meetings and other meetings between appropriate parties as required during the course of the construction period
- Issuing of reports for Client information and action as required during the course of the construction period.
- Certifying completion and arranging for handover of the project to the Client.

Requirements

Other requisite qualities for this high-profile position include:

- Proven leadership and organizational abilities with the capability and personality to lead a large multi-disciplinary project contract administration and supervision team.
- A high level of communication skills with the ability to deal effectively at senior management level with the Client, the Client’s Project Management team, the Contractor and other project stakeholders and organizations.
- Knowledge and experience of construction quality management and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with proprietary electronic document information, distribution and control systems as well as proprietary construction planning and scheduling software.
- A high degree of computer literacy.
