Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Scope:
To manage all Quality, Food Safety & HSE aspect of the site. Direction of people to meet the objectives of the quality management system and the attainment/retention of accreditation to ISO 9001:2008

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop the sites Quality Management System and Food Safety Standards to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
• To be independent from other departments and to have the authority required under ISO 9001: 2008.
• To ensure satisfactory achievement of the Company’s obligation to its clients, advising and assisting with Regulatory issues.
• To be aware of the broader commercial environment, build effective client relationships/partnerships and contribute towards attracting new and additional business by development and use of best practice and business excellence.
• To advise and assist with Regulatory Affairs and Quality, Food Safety, HSE Standards within the company.
• To advise and assist clients with all quality-related issues.
• To develop and manage system of quantifying the cost of preventable and preventive quality in order to help maximize site profitability.
• Ensure the operational Management team understand and act in accordance with Regulatory issues.
• Champion a culture of quality & Food Safety and HSE with all site personnel.
• Ensure documented and detailed training plans are in place for all team members.
• Set site Quality Objectives and manage the quality management system to meet them.
• Review and make recommendations on quality and performance issues relative to contracts & agreements Plan, review and assess all processes and procedures relative to product and system quality.
• Manage the site ISO 9001:2008 accreditation program.
• Management of the control of all site Controlled Documentation.
• Write, monitor, control and approve the Quality Management System.
• Write the site’s Standard Operating procedures and review, approve & control all departmental procedures.
• Primary contact for client audits and quality issues handling.
• Management of self-audit and self-assessment program for continual improvement to ISO 9001:2008.
• Monitor and review operational quality, food safety & HSE performance efficiency.
• Involvement in validation projects.
• Make recommendations on resource management and provision.
• Build relationships with Managers/Supervisors and the workforce to enforce a Quality Policy & Health & Safety culture.
• Audit and approval of suppliers.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Management and/or Quality Assurance Management / HSE.
• Professional qualification / training in Quality Assurance or ISO preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in FMCG products Warehousing, specifically QA Management experience.

Skills / Knowledge:
• Financial and budgetary knowledge.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, Excel and Project.
• Auditing skills (internal and external) on Quality, Successful accreditation to ISO 9001:2008.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English.
