Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Review, test, and disposition nonconforming material.
- Prepare inspection instructions and inspect incoming materials to specifications and quality assurance standards. Interface with manufacturing to make sure their needs are met daily.
- Communicate results and maintain records for discrepant material review and incoming inspection.
- Monitor and analyze quality data and recommend containment actions (i.e. purges, stop shipments) to reduce in-process and field defect rates.
- In support of and under the direction of management, design and conduct failure analysis on part failures.
- Support qualification/validation activities of new product introduction.
- Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in electronic materials quality or manufacturing
- Working knowledge of analog and digital electronic components
- Working knowledge of inspection, test techniques, and instruments
- Working knowledge of mechanical drawings, specifications, and materials
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics
- Working knowledge of sheet metal, printed wiring boards, adhesives, and plastic components
- Experience with quality assurance and control methods
- ASQ Quality Technician certification
