Regional Planning Manager

Job description / Role

Client is a leading international construction company who specialise in heavy civil engineering projects including marine and oil and gas. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Regional Planning Manager to be based at their Regional Head Office in Jeddah.

The role will include;
• Supervises the pre-award and post-award planning activities within the region.
• Defines projects’ requirements related to planning activities and selects, assigns, trains and supports the planning staff within the region.
• Leads the preparation and revisions of the Contract Baseline Schedules in coordination with the Projects teams and ensures the proper methods for regular updates are implemented.
• Leads the preparation of progress measurement procedures and reporting procedures (internal and external) and ensures they are properly implemented.
• Leads the preparation of productivities measurement procedures and ensures field data are properly collected, consolidated and analyzed.
• Ensures that the resources are properly forecasted and planned by the Projects teams based on actual and/or best estimated performances and consolidates the forecasts across the region for action by regional management.
• Prepares consolidated reports for critical issues affecting the timely and economic performance of the projects requiring escalation or special attention by the regional management.

Requirements

Candidates should have a degree in mechanical or civil engineering and will preferably have an MSc or another higher education qualification.

Candidates should have at least 15 years industry experience with at least 8 years of planning experience and a good all round knowledge of projects including marine, oil & gas, desalination, power generation and/or infrastructure.
