Job description / Role
We are currently looking for a Resident Engineer to join an international architecture and engineering consultancy on a new build resort based in Riyadh, KSA. The Resident Engineer will be responsible as the Engineer’s Representative for checking that the Contractor’s Works are carried out in accordance with the Contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Post Contract Administration of the Construction Contract between the Employer and the Contractor and carrying out the duties specified in the contract
- Review with the Project Director the Organisation Chart and Resources Schedule prepared at tender/contract stage and update as necessary
- Review Contract Documents and in particular the Drawings, Specifications and associated documentation
- Review and approval of Contractor’s proposed subcontractors.
- Attend and support PD at all Client meetings as required.
- Review and issue consent to the Contractor’s proposed programme for the execution of the Works.
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
- 10-15 years of experience in Construction
- Currently based in KSA
- Proven experience as a Resident Engineer delivering large hotel/resort projects
- Excellent communication & client facing skills
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction
