Overview

We are seeking a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) specialist to join our Ras Tanura Refinery (RTR) Asset Management Unit (AMU).

AMU is the refinery's arm to ensure effective assets management through managing RTR Reliability systems and programs, as well as analyzing the performance of RTR's Equipment to ensure reliable & efficient operations. This unit entails a function group of "Defect Elimination" that offers highly capable Root cause analysts who run RTR's RCA program, this program aims to assure structured & quality RCAs are conducted for all unreliability events, besides, managing & tracking all investigations and issued recommendations.

Your primary role will be to provide technical support to operating facilities through conducting systematic Root cause analysis, as well as talent development of new Engineers. You will lead various equipment/systems Root Cause Analysis and solicit quality recommendations to address defects from roots.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
• Determine and implement correct RCA methodology according to predetermined criteria.
• Develop & lead the implementation of a detailed RCA process.
• Facilitate or Lead major investigations for several Refineries EQ types, as well as critical systems challenges.
• Design & Participate in conducting training workshops and provide RCA Practitioner-level training.
• Facilitate threat identification workshops.
• Develop databases for defects & threats to retain it for a wider utilization.
• Develop and manage tracking system for all investigation and issued recommendations.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
• As the successful candidate you must hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field
• You should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the RCA and/or Defect Elimination discipline.
• You should have at least 5 years of site technical support in oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• TapRoot certified is preferred.
• Certified Asset Management Assessor is preferred.
• You shall be a nalytical, methodical, chronological and open minded.
• An in-depth knowledge in change management and problem-solving techniques is also essential.
