Job Title: Sales Engineer - Cooling

Reports to: Head – Utility Solutions

Primary purpose:

Altaaqa’s Utility Solutions business offers innovative Temperature Control, Potable Water, Renewable Energy and Wastewater solutions. The objective is to provide technical and sales support to meet the VOC and VOB needs of all potential EPC or Rental clients for Utility Solutions. Provide Technical Sales support and provision of Utility Solutions to the sales operations in the regions. Evaluate tenders, RFPs, RFQs, QRs, BOQs and potential customer requirement with utmost professionalism and offer optimum utility solutions.

Principal accountabilities:

- Visit all relevant consultants, ministries, contractors, end-users and other prospective customers on a regular basis to identify potential business opportunities for the company.

- Ensure ALTAAQA tracks and participates in all known Utility Solutions projects or in planned new or expansion projects in water, cooling, cement, petrochemical, commercial and other utility sectors that require Utility Solutions or O&M.

- Liaise with H.O. Projects Manager / General Manager to ensure bids are evaluated / prepared and submitted on time in a competitive manner. This includes the follow up of all tenders prospect until these are secured or otherwise is decided.

- Assist and advise sales team in mentoring and technical presentations for most suitable Utility Solutions.

- Maintain Contact Lists, Sales Logs, generate weekly and monthly reports and

- Do Sales and Marketing analyses on a monthly or quarterly basis and prepare sales strategy and plans.

- Responsible for the development and management of key customer accounts as a Utility Solutions provider.

- Evaluate customer and consultant specifications. And prepare tenders and detailed quotations accordingly and in a timely and practical manner. Ensure that inherent risks in all tenders are fully comprehended, accurately priced and that clear compliance /deviation statements are made.

- Gathering of required information and data in the absence of details or specifications towards a Utility Solution that gives an optimum price/value to the customer including provision of support systems

- Mechanical and Electrical Utility design, sizing, specifying, installing and commissioning of Chillers, HVAC Systems, engines, generators, SWRO, fuel system, and all associated equipment.

- Support to installation teams during Construction, Testing and Commissioning of Utility Solutions.

- Develops & follow up work plans and schedules including site acceptance for different projects.

- Training of O&M staff to provide awareness of equipment and their best and efficient operational regime.

- Support branches in the Kingdom for potential requirements and provide all necessary technical and commercial support.

- Work closely with Service Operation Manager and Workshop Manager to resolve product related issue as well as support in any required preparation of equipment’s prior to mobilization to site.

- Organize corporate launch activities including seminars and exhibitions.

- Develop new sales engineers on offered solutions via training programs and keep them updated with latest technologies and application needs.

- Other Sales/Marketing/Business Development Tasks that would bring benefits to company and self.

KPI’s/KPAs:

- Budget guideline achievement – Utility Solutions.

- Zero Error in application and provided Utility Solutions.

- Address and offer 12 Solutions and build opportunities to bridge the gap between supply & demand.

- Address and offer 6 Operation & Maintenance opportunities in Utility Solutions business.

- Log and Maintain a healthy prospect follow up list to build a generation order book of < SR 20M/year.

- Conduct at least 2 Sales Training sessions per region to update and train sales staff on Utility Solutions

- Ensure optimum communication with staff members and colleagues

- Motivation, Leadership, Social intelligence and discipline will be expected and observed.

- Timely production of daily/weekly/monthly Reports and any Feed-back reports.

Requirements

Job Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Education:

B.S. or higher Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong background in Utility Solutions such as Chillers, HVAC, Sea Water RO, Power Generation, Wastewater and sales and application.

Experience:

The job holder must possess strong technical knowledge in Mechanical engineering, design, application, operation, and installation to support Utility Solutions Projects and Utility Rental activities. Background in Temperature Control Solutions, SWRO Utility Systems and Field service is a plus. Excellent command on English language and communication skills.
