The project:

This is an opportunity to work on a large new build airport, that will set a global benchmark for aviation experience and aims to attract 120 million passengers by 2030 in Saudi Arabia.

• You will possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.

• Oversees establishment of the project execution plan, health and safety plan, QA/QC, and other documents as required.
• Working with the construction delivery teams to develop, implement, and manage health and safety strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment across the airport projects.
• Has a clear understanding of ground operations, loadmasters, ground dispatch, ramp services, and GHA SLA management. operational integrity, load ability and service functions.

• You will ensure quality systems are suitably managed in line with service excellence.
• You will deliver and manage project plans from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
• You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of senior project managers and other leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
• Support the client’s team at a strategic project delivery level in creating project briefs and RFI documentation based on the client’s needs and required results.
• Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver a cargo master operating and infrastructure plan to complement future development.
• Working in collaboration with the planning team to prepare an overarching delivery and construction programme for the projects assigned, including interface with the proponent, stakeholders, procurement, commercial and design programmes.
• Skilled with air cargo suppliers regarding service delivery and alternative solutions models.
• Working with the construction delivery teams to develop, implement, and manage health and safety strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment across the airport projects.
• Plan and lead the delivery of a range of information gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation activities and specify, negotiate, and agree on project deliverables.
• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across the senior leadership teams.
• Initiate and lead the governance and delivery of a program or group of significant projects within a function, using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are identified and achieved.
• Report and monitor project progress against the schedule and cost plan highlighting concerns providing recommendations and implementing any agreed mitigation measures.
• Review supervision consultants’ recommendations for extension of time or recovery plans to include contractor claims.

Requirements

You’ll need to have:

• Extensive experience working in Saudi Arabia.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements/relevant authorities within aviation project management in KSA.
• Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Aviation sector.
• Commercial and financial acumen.
• Experience working on projects within large, diverse teams.
• Experience in developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
