Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Planning and Strategy:

* Develop and execute strategic plans for the hospital's core infrastructure to align with organizational goals and future technology trends.
* Collaborate with IT leadership to establish and implement long-term infrastructure roadmaps.

System Maintenance and Optimization:

* Perform regular maintenance tasks, updates, and patches to ensure the stability and security of the infrastructure.
* Monitor system performance and proactively optimize resources to meet the hospital's evolving needs.

Troubleshooting and Technical Support:

* Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues, collaborating with IT helpdesk and support teams to resolve problems promptly.
* Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure a reliable healthcare IT environment.

System Upgrades and Enhancements:

* Evaluate and recommend system upgrades and enhancements to keep technology systems aligned with evolving healthcare needs.
* Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to implement upgrades and ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.

Integration and Interoperability:

* Work on integrating different technology systems to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
* Collaborate with vendors and other IT professionals to address interoperability challenges and optimize system integration.

Advanced Technical Expertise:

* Serve as the subject matter expert for complex infrastructure issues, guiding the team in troubleshooting and resolving advanced technical challenges.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve the hospital's infrastructure.

Vendor Management:

* Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring the hospital receives optimal support and solutions for infrastructure-related products and services.
* Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the hospital's IT capabilities.

Security and Compliance Leadership:

* Take a lead role in developing and implementing security policies and practices for the core infrastructure, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing any vulnerabilities promptly.

Project Management:

* Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, managing resources, timelines, and budgets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of infrastructure components with other hospital systems.

Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization:

* Conduct in-depth analysis of infrastructure performance, capacity, and scalability.
* Implement strategies for optimizing resource utilization and ensuring the infrastructure meets the hospital's evolving needs.

Database Management and Maintenance:

* Collaborate with IT architects and developers to design and implement database structures that support healthcare applications and systems.
* Ensure proper data modeling and indexing for efficient data retrieval and storage.

Requirements

* Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science
* Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing core IT infrastructure in a healthcare environment.
* Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team of IT professionals.
* In-depth knowledge of advanced server, network, database and storage technologies.
* Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
