Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

Has demonstrated experience in the hydrocarbon processing units of the oil/gas industry and has expertise in pipeline technologies and hydraulic calculations. Has been recognized as a pipeline simulation specialist. Must have thorough knowledge of project engineering practices, economic principles, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications.

Act as a technical focal point and coordinates with project discipline lead engineers to ensure correct implementation of the design for his engineering specialty and coordinates the work of engineers within his specialty. Prepares and reviews engineering studies like Pipeline hydraulic, multiphase and flow assurance studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications.
Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
- Must be able to demonstrate expertise in single and multiphase pipelines hydraulic simulation.
- Solid experience with single phase and multi phase simulations, expert in SPS, Olga, Pipesim tools
- Must be an expert in performing surge analysis on liquid lines using simulation tools like SPS.
- Expertise in designing surge protection systems including safe fluid disposal.
- Experience of simulating gas networks.
- Knowledge of flow assurance issues like hydrates, wax, etc.
- Candidate can use other Process tools like HYSYS, PVTSIM, and Multiflash.
- Must be familiar with applicable regulations, codes and standards.
- Candidates must have relevant technical expertise to prepare design and operating philosophies.
- Pipeline and facilities commissioning experience will be an added advantage.
- GCC experience particularly Saudi Aramco experience will be preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Candidate can deliver in-house pipeline hydraulics training courses and can mentor juniors.
- Candidate can work independently and create a positive work environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Experience in Pipeline Design in the Process Engineering field.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
- Candidates must hold an Engineering Degree Qualification or equivalent from a government recognized institution.
