Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer specialising in Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) to join a market leading organisation in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in petrochemicals and a proven track record in process engineering for ABS production. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimising and improving the ABS production process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the ABS production process, ensuring efficient and safe operations
- Conduct process simulations and modelling to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any process-related issues
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance ABS production efficiency and quality
- Monitor and analyze key process parameters to maintain optimal production levels and minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, and drive initiatives for process safety management
- Provide technical expertise and support for ABS production-related projects and initiatives
- Contribute to the development of operating procedures and training materials for production personnel
- Participate in process hazard analysis (PHA) and process safety management (PSM) activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in process engineering within the petrochemical industry, with a focus on ABS production
- In-depth knowledge of ABS production processes, equipment, and technologies
- Proficiency in process simulation software and tools, such as Aspen HYSYS or similar
- Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards related to petrochemical production
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvement initiatives
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Experience with process safety management and hazard analysis in a petrochemical environment
- Professional certifications or licenses related to process engineering and petrochemical industry are a plus
