Lead the production of high-quality Social Statistics covering diverse fields, ensuring adherence to international standards.

Establish robust process management systems, and utilize modern statistical methods for analysis to maintain statistical quality and compliance with standards while monitoring key performance indicators for continuous improvement.

Description

Statistics Production

Leadership and management responsibility for the production of Social Statistics, covering:

* Population statistics and projections
* Labour Market Statistics
* Education, Culture and Entertainment Statistics
* Social Statistics and Living Conditions
* Gender and Diversity Statistics
* Justice and Safety Statistics
* Health Statistics
* And any new field of Economic Statistics that might emerge as a priority in the future.
* Guide the Social Statistics team to adhere to international standards, ensuring high-quality statistics that meet the best international benchmark offices' standards.
* Ensure the Social Statistics team adheres to international standards for producing high-quality official statistics and aligns their portfolio with the best international benchmark offices in coverage, insights depth, and alignment with priorities.
* Statistical Design, processing and Analysis
* Establish a robust process management system to oversee the production of official statistics, adhering to the GSBPM approach.
* Lead collaboration with stakeholders to develop research questions, oversee adherence to the GSBPM approach for quality outputs, and utilize modern statistical methods and AI/ML for analyzing social phenomena.

Statistical Quality and Reporting

* Develop and maintain statistical quality management systems to uphold compliance with standards and best practices in Social Statistics.
* Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of quality management efforts and establish protocols for ensuring accuracy and completeness of statistical data.

Requirements

* Demonstrated leadership experience (minimum of 5 years) in Social Statistics within a statistical office or comparable analytical setting.
* Possess advanced skills in statistical methodologies, data analysis, and interpretation, alongside a thorough understanding of international standards and governance frameworks for official statistics.
* Background in project management with the capacity to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficient in statistical software and tools with a comprehensive understanding of pertinent regulatory requirements and data protection laws.
* Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Statistics, Sociology, Demography, Economics, or a related field.
