Role Summary:

Leads, consults or oversees strategic design related to Hospital Information Systems to deliver high quality outcomes to internal and external customers. Possesses expert knowledge of the Functional and IT capabilities relevant to the Healthcare Digital domain including but not limited to clinical, technical, functional, regulatory, architectural, integration, data, security, reporting and analytics.

Essential Responsibilities:

•Lead and coordinate the product design relative to current and future direction to solve business problems using Hospital Information Systems.
•Analyze, design and develop a product roadmap and implementation plan based upon all relevant data points such as business needs, appetite for change, technical capabilities, etc.
•Participate in and constantly evaluate and validate the product governance.
•Work with multiple deployment teams as needed.
•Contribute to the development of products that are customer-focused, escalable, with reusable components and that can be orchestrated together or with other world-class products in adjacent domains.
•Lead research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to drive product evolution.
•Interact with software OEMs and influence their roadmap where appropriate to meet your product’s needs.
•Be considered an absolute expert in the designated (enter product, domain, environment).

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or in Nursing with Healthcare Informatics.
•A minimum of 12 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across HIS lines.

•Participates in product strategy development by considering product roadmap, opportunity identification, value cases and anticipated or planned GE business innovation and transformation.
•Reviews and/or analyzes business requirements at domain level, aligning with current and planned solutions. Continually assesses requirements and anticipates the impact on the product backlog.
•Is a lead contributor to the domain’s governance process and continually works to improve it.
•Leads teams in developing plans to deliver complex solutions in HIS and Predix

•Creates, analyzes and manages complex hospital business process, software products or designs that provide direct business benefit; demonstrates detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction including business transformation; understands industry trends and best practices relative to the use of (product) and the competitive landscape and its implications for GE; partners with GE leaders to align products with business goals and needs.

•Recommends allocation of resources, both internal and external to GE to meet initiatives critical to business/mission success. Develops the business case for approval where needed.
•Provides leadership and platform/domain guidance and mentors others through expert knowledge and experience.
•Defines skills, competencies needed by the broader product team
•Facilitates dialogues that produce new perspectives and trigger recommendations for substantial innovative / enhancements with full analysis of consequences.
•Influences through others such as experts or other third parties. Builds both direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas; uses chains of indirect influence.
