Structural Design Lead

Job description / Role

A leading engineering consultancy are currently looking to recruit an experience structural design lead to based in Riyadh and to Technically assist the commercial department in winning projects, and manage structural design resources for project delivery according to set time, cost, and quality. The role will include;

• Study project scope and finalize scope for in-house design and sub-consultants’ design in the form of clear scope matrices.
• Prepare scope briefs for specialiased sub-consultants (e.g. geotechnical investigation, topographic survey)
• Prepare projects’ Basis of Design Report.
• Site visits, drawing search, and collection of data for projects.
• Perform, check, and supervise structural analysis, design and preparing reports for projects.
• Coordination with sub-consultants, vendors, and technically assist with bid evaluation.
• Performing troubleshooting activities and providing the solutions in addition to coordination with other design disciplines.
• Providing technical advice and design solutions during construction stage.

Requirements

• Candidates should have a degree in civil or structural engineering and should be a member of the Saudi Council of engineers and membership of an international structural engineering institute is preferred.
• Candidates should have experience of building structures design in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia and should have experience of all local and international design codes and software.
