Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently looking for a Subsea Pipeline Designer to work on our Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP) in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, to further increase the capacity and knowledge base of the well-established Subsea Pipeline department. This will give you the opportunity to work on a wide range of Wood. projects
- Assure consistency and quality in the Design / Drafting drawing package
- Have experience in the oil / gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, onshore/offshore, or infrastructure industries and have engineering design / drafting experience with large projects
- Have experience as a senior pipeline designer for Study Phase, FEED, Detailed Design, Engineering Support, Construction Design mainly for offshore projects.
- Responsible for collecting pre-engineering survey and preparing as-built survey data.
- Responsible for preparing offshore general layouts, overall field layouts and individual pipeline routes.
- Responsible for preparing alignment sheet drawings, plan & profiles for pipelines, flexibles, power cables and umbilical
- Responsible for preparing GA drawings and location drawings for risers and J-Tubes
- Responsible for preparing Subsea Tie-ins, Valve Skids, Jumper Line Spool, Shore Approach, Subsea Crossing Details,
- Responsible for prepare Isometrics with Material Take Off
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing calculations, , and other information
- Support construction and procurement with preparation of drawings and material take-offs
- Prepare complete bills of materials for all drawings
- Review as-built drawings and assist with collection of design information required by construction and procurement
- Must have knowledge of good engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
- Must have working knowledge of company and project QA requirements
- Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD, and MicroStation
- Recommended skills of using Civil 3D and ArcGIS
- Optional skill of using PDS and S3D
- Has experience in the supervision of designers and CADD operators
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively and deliver requirements in a timely manner
- Reports on work status/ problem areas/ needs
- Develop and maintain discipline project documentation and design data records
- File and maintain project records (engineering sketches, layouts, studies etc)
- Manage design deliverables issue and transmittal records
- Collating IDC Engineering review and Client review / comments issue
- Track deliverable status, studies, co-ordination and any other design tasks not tied directly to deliverables
- Attend project model review meetings
- Interface with other disciplines as required
- Update the Mechanical, Piping and Pipelines Design / Drafting stick files
- Perform vendor data review of equipment and components in their assigned area
- Routinely report deliverable progress report to Lead Technical Professional
- Responsible for checking CADD drawings for the projects Support Design Supervisor in maintaining a needs list of design criteria to support completion of their assigned area
- Be familiar with Design / Drafting department standards and procedures and support the Design Supervisor in interpretation and implementation of standards and procedures
- Support the Design Supervisor in the review of existing Design / Drafting standards and procedures and recommend changes and revisions to existing standards and procedures as required

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications
- 7 years minimum
- BS Engineering or equivalent Microstation skills as follow:
- Orthographic projection of objects to create plans and sections
- Understanding relationship of drawing scales and dimensioning
- CADD commands, layers, line types, dimensioning, model space paper space relationships, text styles and shapes, plotting, snap etc.
- Xref / Reference usage
- AutoSACs utilitzation Pipeline software skills:
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- ArcGIS
- Pipeline toolbox

Navisworks Advanced (marking comments, section views, color schemes, filters)
