System Administrator - Saudi National

Job description / Role

Our client, an international defence company is currently seeking 8 Saudi National System Administrators to be based near the border of Iraq and Kuwait, (Hafar Al Batin, Rafha, Al Uwayqilah, Arar, Turaif), Saudi Arabia for an extendable 12 month contract.

The System Administrator will be responsible for the technical components of the our client’s system including fixed and mobile surveillance and communications equipment.

The System Administrator will act as the direct interface from the Operations function to Technical Support Organization for corrective system maintenance situations. The System Administrator will assess the implications of system degradation to current operations

The system administrator is also be expected to work on a shift basis of 1 week on/1 week off - 7 days a week 12 hour per day and off for following week.

Requirements

- Minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally a Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering
- Knowledge of communication and surveillance systems
- Understand the appropriate media, cables, ports, and connectors to connect Cisco network devices to other network devices and hosts in a LAN/WAN
- Understand MS services and servers such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and DFS.
- Basic knowledge of Linux OS and fiber technologies such as SDH and SONET.
