Employment: Full Time

TITLE : Technical Support Engineer

RESPONSIBLE TO : RSM

OBJECTIVES : To manage the commercial and engineering functions within the KSA sales office relating to the sales of Cooper Lighting

REPORTING : RSM - KSA


DUTIES

a) Review and with guidance from the RSM prioritize incoming enquiries and ensure that all enquiries are logged / actioned in a timely manner
b) Handling of all inside Sales activities relating to Cooper lighting UK and USA as well as post order management
c) Generate quotations to customers maintaining close communication with outside customers to assure high opportunity and order win ratio
d) Support Design engineers in addressing technical problems
e) Identify Consultants / Distributor training requirements and coordinate with RSM
f) Maintain overview of completed project tenders to ensure that they fulfill the client’s technical requirements and to build data base for projects under design in order to write specification locally under supervision from RSM
g) To keep Consultants and Lighting Designers updated with new product information

RELATIONSHIPS

a) To liaise closely with the KSA RSM
b) To work closely with other members of the MENA Lighting team and Cooper Lighting teams in the UK and USA
c) To present the best possible image of Cooper Lighting to our customers, suppliers, competitors and the general market place

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

a) Customer’s acceptance
b) Attitude to Company and customers
c) Technical & Product knowledge
d) RSM’s appraisal

Requirements

a) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
b) Minimum 3 years’ experience of technical sales within the GCC lighting industry, preferably in the KSA
c) A demonstrable technical understanding of lighting applications, lighting design software and products
d) A capacity for creative and analytical thinking
e) Experience of managing a heavy workload, setting priorities as required; excellent time management skills
f) Communication and presentation skills – experience of delivering technical information to a range of audiences
g) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
h) Fluency in English is essential and Arabic an advantage
