Tendering Manager

Job description / Role

One of KSA’s largest industrial conglomerate is looking for a technically qualified and experienced TENDERING MANAGER to join their construction & technical services team in Jeddah, KSA. The successful candidate will be responsible to create, manage and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the full cycle of the proposal effort/activity, from gathering inputs and developing estimates to the timely final submission of a compliant, complete and competitive bid.
• Coordinates the preparation of the overall proposal (including technical, financial, contractual, legal and staff components) ensuring that it is compliant with corporate policy and procedures.
• Accountable for the timely production of all proposal deliverables including all related research.
• Collaborates and cooperates with Business Developers and key internal teams to determine project feasibility, key drivers of competitiveness, proposal strategy, target price and main deviations against the specifications of the tender.
• Benchmarks and estimates a realistic and competitive price in line with commercial strategy set out by bid committee.
• Provides expertise and active input towards defining the project execution and delivery strategies.
• Supports Business Developers in meetings with external stakeholders and is a key contributor to presentations and negotiations, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is mandatory
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Water & Wastewater sector proposals
• Previous relevant proposals experience is a must.
• Experience managing and/or working within cross-functional, geographically-spread teams.
• Operational experience or experience in design & execution of such projects, is an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and work under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of tendering processes
