Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Oversee and determine technical and safety standards for the company in respect of track welding, grinding and ultrasonics
- Lead and manage the track welding division and also QA systems, welding coordination, also all site QA/QC functions and welding inspection operations.
- Management and coordination of all field installation department activities.
- Provide specialist advice and assurance in all track welding processes.
- Develop and approve internal welding processes and procedures.
- Approve training courses and assessment procedures.
- Ensure track welding standards through internal audits
- Ensure grinding and ultrasonics standards through internal audits.
- Lead the introduction of new processes and procedure
- Conduct audits to ensure safety, quality, technical and performance standards
- Meet vital customers' requirement.
- Approve all procedures for training and assessment
- Provide technical expertise and instruction to all levels of the company
- Ensure the company is employing the most up to date techniques to ensure maximum productivity is achieved
- Maintain professional contacts with Clients and contractors.
- Represent the company at the relevant track welding forums
- Approve all track welding processes
- Approve consumables and track welding plant
- Review all Network Rail current and proposed standards that affect track welding
- Undertake technical investigation.
- Track welding capability to include Aluminothermic Welding and Electric Arc Welding Services, who will be responsible for the development and delivery of our track welding services to the Rail Industry.
- Leading the establishment and development of a Thermic rail welding business across the Saudi Metro rail infrastructure
- Managing all track welding operations
- Maintaining and delivering high Standards and Quality in welding operations.
- Ensuring effective service delivery
- Ensuring robust health and safety practices
- Maintaining effective control of cost
- Ensuring an effective welding service is delivered to meet client requirements.

Requirements

- A minimum of 10 years Aluminothermic rail welding experience
- A minimum of 3 years as a Welding Manager or Senior Welding Supervisor
- Engineering degree or equivalent diploma or certifcation in Tracks and Welding
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- In depth knowledge of rail welding procedures and standards
