Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer - VmWare

Job description / Role

- Provides day-to-day operational support for VMware VDI, Includes virtual desktop performance troubleshooting, access issues, profile issues and general troubleshooting/problem solving.
- Installing; Configuring & managing ESXi
- Working experience with Cisco UCS blade server
- Creating resources pool, Template & Clone in Virtual Center.
- Managing Tasks, Events and Alarms.
- Upgrading patches for ESXi Using update manager.
- Troubleshooting and Deployment of Virtual machines.
- Maintain server infrastructure.
- Creating resources pool, Template & Clone in Virtual Center.
- Managing Tasks, Events and Alarms.
- Upgrading patches for ESXi Using update manager.
- Troubleshooting and Deployment of Virtual machines.

Requirements

- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer applies strong experience with VMware View Technology
- To implement and administrate a large-scale (1000+ desktop sessions) VDI deployment using non-persistent (floating pools) and persistent desktops in a university environment
- Virtual Desktop Administration (desired: VMware Horizon View)
- Virtualization Infrastructure Experience (desired: VMware vSphere)
- Application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills
- Windows Desktop Administration Skills (desired: Microsoft 7, Windows 8.x)
- Deployment & Configuration Automation Experience
- Experience with User Profile management tools (desired: Immidio)
