Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Position Purpose:

To manage the Logistics operations for all Retail Distribution center’s in Khartoum and Up County Depots.

Key Accountabilities:

MANAGEMENT OF STOCK PROCESSES
–Replenishment,
–Stock Control,
–Issues and Returns/Damages

S&OP SUPPORT PROCESS

-Co-ordination of S&OP process for the warehouses – KHT & UPC
-Ensure Procurement processes are incorporated in planning process

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
-Maintain and develop the staff in the logistics department
-Housekeeping & safety practices maintained
MANAGE CSP
-Ensure planning and delivery optimization
- Planning and optimize fleet resources Maximize the use of IT systems

MANAGE COST
- Ensure cost effective operation within the Logistics department

This position deals with DD, co-ordinating Imports and local production and is core in assisting sales achievements in both Khartoum and UPC

Dimensition:

•Management of all Logistic staff will be the responsibility of this position
•Contribution to the BU Management team in terms of strategic projects
•Overall responsibility of both Khartoum and UPC logistics

Requirements

Minimum of a degree, preferably in logistics / supply chain.

Excellent planning skills required
Good operational skills and Stock management knowledge required; Ability to work in a team environment.

Experience of 8 years in FMCG high Volume operations, warehouse and stock control
High level of computer competence in MS Office and other WMS programs;
Strategic thinking and understanding of business concept.
