Warehouse Manager

Job description / Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient warehousing and inventory control of finished goods with full responsibility for the efficient receipt, storage and timely dispatching of finished goods. Ensures the maximum utilization of Finished Goods (FG) stores facilities and continuous improvements in increasing efficiency and cost reduction.

• Ensures effective utilization of cold & dry stores and observes proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of finished goods to maintain the quality of finished goods in order to prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of pilferage, accidents and occupational hazards.
• Effectively monitors flow of finished goods and implements First-In First-Out (FIFO) method in the dispatching of finished goods.
• Coordinates with the production and sales departments with regards to transfer and dispatch of finished goods.
• Maintains the highest standards of customer service by immediately attending and resolving customer issues on product preparation before dispatch.
• Coordinates with the sales department in maintaining minimum and maximum level of finished goods in FG stores based on market demand and sales forecast.
• Ensures accuracy of product inventories against system records by conducting cycle counts on a periodic basis following appropriate guidelines released by accounting and audit departments.
• Conducts regular cycle count as per established schedules and guidelines. Evaluates and analyzes inventory variance. Implements preventive countermeasures based on the result of inventory variance analysis.

Requirements

• University Degree
• Excellent knowledge of warehousing, storage, packing and shipping.
• Excellent knowledge of stock control procedures and recording methods.
• Effective consultation, communication and problem solving skills.
• Good Analytical and Control Skills.
• People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of ERP system
• English fluency, Arabic speaking would be a plus.
