This role is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Client Profile
Our client is an independently owned preschool based in Dar es Salaam and we are recruiting an experienced preschool principal / director to join their team to create a high standard of teaching for local and expatriate children based on the British, American and Montessori curriculum.
The Role
• Develop, oversee and monitor the preschool curriculum to ensure the highest standards of teaching are achieved and consult with teachers to enhance teaching methods, classroom management and children’s learning.
• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding and retention of teachers.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience Required
• 8 – 10 years’ experience in a nationally accredited and licensed preschool with classroom teaching and child development curriculum based on the British, American and Montessori curriculum and has a strong track record of being involved in the curriculum review and evaluation is mandatory and a minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience managing or supervising a preschool education program.
• Proficient use of MS Office.
Education
• BEd or MEd degree or Degree in Early Childhood Education is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
• Female aged between 33 – 45 years.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build strong parental relationships, community and industry networking,
• Fluent in English – must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
