Course content

The overall goal of this five day workshop is to equip attendees with a broad knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of trade finance products, the numerous benefits they provide and the various forms of trade finance that are available. Each trade product will be analysed in detail in order to equip the delegate with a deep understanding of the purpose of the product and the benefits provided to the importer and exporter. The course will also examine the working capital cycle of a business, identify financing needs and explain how trade finance can be utilized in order to provide an appropriate solution to meet these needs, considering this from both the corporate and the bank’s perspectives. As such, there will be an examination of how the provision of trade finance can significantly deepen the relationship between the corporate and the bank. Importantly, there will be a key focus on the risk dynamics of international trade for exporters, importers and the banks providing the trade finance solution.
