Our client Hospital is a 985 bedded Magnet Accredited Tertiary referral Hospital.

Description
- Scope of Service: Medical Pediatric Unit (B-1)

HOURS OF OPERATION:
- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- No. of Beds: 34 (6 - Medical Genetics, 4 - Neurology, 24 - Other Specialties)

The pediatric medical acute care unit provides neonates through to the age of 14 years and their families (with the exception of patients with precocious developmental and/or extreme low growth parameters) with the care required for extensive medical conditions, from the time of admission to discharge. Most of our patients have multiple and complex medical conditions requiring multi-disciplinary approach in their management and care. Such care and management requires diagnostic work-up, medical-surgical management, nursing assessment, intervention and education.

One sitter or parent is encouraged to stay with the patient to promote family centered care, unless otherwise permitted and discussed with the primary physician along with the Head Nurse.

Requirements

At least two years and ideally more as a Staff nurse (RN) in an busy Paediatric unit.
