Job description / Role
• Logs pressures, temperatures, amperes and other required variables of all AC & refrigeration machinery as stipulated in log sheets or otherwise requested
• Cleans and services as stipulated, Air handling units, ventilation fans, exhaust fans, cold rooms and freezers conditioning units and cooler units, refrigerators, bottle coolers, water coolers, Ice maker, central air-conditioning plant and accessories, etc
• Repairs and overhauls all air conditioning and refrigeration and allied equipment
• Repairs and maintain all duct work duct insulation & duct supports
• Repairs maintain and overhauls all connected electrical wiring, i.e. main power supply systems, switches, contractors, relays, timers, fuses, control wiring system including transformers switches, contractors relays, etc.
• Ensure air conditioned areas and cold rooms/freezer rooms are operating at desire temperatures
• Performs duties common to all rank & file and non-supervisory personnel and other duties as may be assigned
• Handles and maintain all tools for carrying out the job systematically and neatly
• Keeps account of all materials used
• Maintain s the work place, toolbox/drawer in a clean, neat and orderly manner
• Works in orderly fashion and cleans the work area after completion of job
Requirements
• Become an HVAC technician and continue to work in the field (1 to 2 years).
• Can work under pressure
• Certificate in Installing and Commissioning Air-Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems.
• Certificate in Servicing and Maintaining Air-Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems.
