Job Description

Reporting to:Country Manager
Direct Reports: Project Principals and Project Managers

Purpose

This role becomes the focus point of our evolved approach to client centricity. The Account Leader is expected to win great work and be accountable for the delivery of commercially robust projects and quality outcomes for the client. This is a full end to end role, ensuring we create as much value from our client relationship through identification, capture and delivery of profitable opportunities.

- To actively manage the client relationship and play a lead role in gaining and maintaining trust in Mott MacDonald
- To ensure that we understand the needs of the client and are positioned to help meet those needs
- To identify opportunities and turn them into Prospects and in turn convert them into Projects through effective bidding activities
- To drive bids that are technically and commercially sound
- To provide support ensuring that the client's projects are delivered to time, cost and quality and result in commercial success for Mott MacDonald
- To provide leadership and succession
- To work effectively with Resource managers and sector/practice leads to ensure the right resources are available to support successful delivery

Key Responsibilities

- Develop strong and robust client relationships
- Production of quality proposals and bids
- Review and understand commercial terms and contract conditions, engaging region/central support as appropriate
- Project Principal on relevant projects
- Bid Principal on proposals, EOIs and Bids
- Managing risk and commercial performance on the projects for their account
- Billing, cash and debt management
- Ensure successful execution of projects to clients' satisfaction
- Generate succession plan and provide development opportunities for future account leads
- Manage relationships in accordance with MM ethics standards.

Requirements

Candidate Specification

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

- A graduate or post graduate in any Engineering Discipline with PMP
- Min 15 years' relevant experience in the oil and gas delivery sector
- Proven experience in a business development position within the Oil and Gas sector in the Middle East region
- Significant experience winning and leading programmes within the Oil and Gas sector in UAE
