Accountant

Job description / Role

Job Purpose: Coordinate all activities related to Projects and Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.

Duties:
• Create project accounts in the accounting system
• Maintain sufficient contract documentation and check that payments made are in line with contractual terms
• Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
• Manage the overheads associated with the Project Team including staff costs
• Review and process supplier invoices related to a project
• Review and calculate overhead charges to be applied to a project
• Review account totals related to project assets and expenses
• Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
• Report on project cost sheet to management
• Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects
• Close out project accounts upon project completion
• Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required
• Asset management – maintaining the FA register and ensure its matching with Physical in the year end.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in finance (minimum qualification), with detailed knowledge of project contracts.
• Must have excellent communication and writing skills, and at least three years of experience in project accounting.
• 3-5 years of Accounting experience.
