Accountant

Job description / Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position is based in UAE-Dubai and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial management of our organization in the dynamic Oil & Gas sector.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare budget forecasts and variance analysis
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits
- Participate in financial projects and initiatives as required

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 7,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA certification is a plus
- Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges
