Accountant - Petty Cash

Job description / Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant - Petty Cash to join our team in the marine field in UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing petty cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and disburse petty cash for daily operational expenses
- Maintain accurate records of petty cash transactions
- Reconcile petty cash balances and prepare reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for petty cash management
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Collaborate with the finance team to support accounting functions
- handle cash in big amounts

Salary:
AED 2,500 to 4,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience as a petty cash accountant or a similar role in the ship agent or marine Field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent at English
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Full knowledge of Tally software
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the UAE accounting standards and regulations is a plus
