Accountant - VAT Experience

Job description / Role

• Weekly and monthly VAT health check-up and filling gaps for VAT compliance;
• Accounts payable – best-practice implementation and internal controls;
• Implement finance operations from a best-practice perspective;
• Processes accounting entries for various projects for all accounts functions such as receipts, payments, rentals bank transfers, accruals etc.
• IT systems - monitor and assist in implementing and improving operational systems being used;
• Reviews all Journal vouchers for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures before submission to the Finance Supervisor.
• Maintains appropriate filing of all documentation.
• Liaises with internal departments of the Company on financial and accounting matters

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
• VAT certification, if any,
• At least three (3) years finance and accounting work experience;
• VAT implementation experience for the last 6 months;
• General accounting and finance operations
