Accounting Manager

Our client, a global MNC Retail business is hiring a Managerial position to head their Accounting department.

Client Details

Our client is a MNC Retail Group, hiring a managerial position in the Accounting team, for their offices in Dubai.

Description

* Oversee month end closure and GL, ensuring accuracy, completeness, timeliness and compliance with policies, standards (i.e., IFRS).
* Supervise AP and AR processes end-to-end.
* Manage the treasury and cash flow for the region including monthly reporting and reconciliation.
* Supervise tax matters, i.e., VAT / WHT declarations and manage CIT project whilst ensuring compliance with guidelines set out by tax authorities.
* Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international accounting standards and regulations.
* Support audit cycles (internal and external), providing necessary documentation and information for all entities.
* Monitor and analyse accounting and other financial processes, creating a culture of continuous improvement to minimise costs and other inefficiencies.
* Manage and maintain business relationships with local and regional stakeholders such as auditors, advisors, other store teams etc.
* Lead and mentor a team of AR, AP and Treasury professionals.

Requirements

* Graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a MUST (Postgraduate degree or other professional qualifications i.e., ACCA,CA, CMA is a huge advantage)
* Professional proficiency in Arabic is a MUST.
* Track record of managing teams at MNC retail firms is a huge advantage
