Accounts Assistant

Job description / Role

Our client has its HQ in Europe and is growing at around 20% year on year.

We are searching for a young, ambitious, top calibre individual to support the Chief Accountant.

- Capturing and processing of bank and petty cash transactions (receipts, payments), preparing monthly reconciliations
- Capturing and processing accounts payable & accounts receivable transactions
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
- Handle VAT
- Identifying and resolving cost variances at capturing stage on purchase orders and purchase provisions.
- Preparing and tracking of cheques for payment and deposit.
- Capturing and processing fixed asset purchases, scrapping and monthly depreciation.
- Preparation of journals for review by Chief Accountant.
- Assisting in calculation of month-end adjustments on provisions and accruals.
- Assistance on matters such as internal/external audit document preparation.
- Stock takes, fixed asset validation

Salary:
AED 10000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- 1 to 3 years working experience maximum (age: less than 25 yrs)
- Previous experience in a well-known structured MNC
- Strong in Excel
- Fluent in English
- Experience in a general trading environment, understanding revenue, margins and stock costing, inventory management.
- Foreign currency exposure on AR, AP and currency revaluations and stock costing.
- Prior experience with VAT systems advantageous.
- Team player
- Self-starter with strong motivation to achieve personal skill improvement through embracing working environment challenges.
