Role Overview
QRM is the internal Quality Risk and Project Management function advising business internally on QRM functional components as well as general business and legal risks and internal compliance to policy, legislation and regulation.

We are looking for a qualified attorney to join as a Senior Consultant in the Quality and Risk Management (QRM) team in the capacity of a Commercial Legal Advisor assistant in the Consulting Service Line.

Professional flexibility would apply to this role as it is a consultative role

Responsibilities:

Legal:
- Liaise with relevant leadership, functions or industries to ensure that legal risks have been identified, and recommend actions or safeguards implemented,
- Assist QRM team to monitor and review ongoing projects for lifecycle legal, reputational or other risks
- Provide legal and legal risk management advice on contract management, contracting risk and deal structuring,
- Formulate legal opinion and disseminate as communication,
- Interpretation and advice on legal documentation.

Contract negotiation:
- Manage contractual landscape end to end from Opportunity until close-out of Engagement,
- Assess legal implications of various opportunities and (mitigate/manage these) at the implementation stages of Engagements,
- Prepare, review and modify contractual documentation/communications to assist and support various delivery activities,
- Negotiate, review and draft commercial legal documentation for business transactions.

Contract Management:
- Review, edit and negotiate Change Orders and Amendments to the Services Agreement.
- Review, edit and negotiate basic contracts and other transactional documents (e.g. SOWs, NDAs, Change Orders, and Amendments) throughout the continuance of the Engagement,
- Liaise with the Engagement management team, Quality Assurance and internal Legal,
- Serve as a point of contact or liaison between Deloitte and the Client,
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to emphasize expectations and standards with regards to contract management
- Protect interests, property, confidential information and marks,
- Summarize contract and business deal proposition(s) to communicate to leadership,
- Assist in managing client relationship in phase contract execution, including monitoring of adherence to service levels and resolving disputes.

Other Responsibilities
- Support QRM team with various contracting queries as part of compliance and QA programs
- Keep contract templates, signatory authority list and other relevant contract guidance up to date
- Support the contracting sections of the QRM SharePoint
- Support with QRM Training and Communication content preparation and delivery as appropriate
- Documentation of standardized contracting processes and preparation of support and guidance material to educate and communicate to practice
- Feed into QRM plan and roadmap as necessary
- Assist with adhoc reporting requirements regarding contractual matters when necessary
- Assist with other matters as appropriate
- Be proactive and think of other ways to automate and improve things
- Be able to work independently and use the many internal and external tools at your disposal to better understand the existing processes and procedures that exist, understand how the contracting piece fits into this and be able to suggest augmentations and improvements where appropriate
- Learn about the full QRM opportunity to engagement lifecycle in the wider context than just contracting

Requirements

- Admitted Attorney / Solicitor / Barrister
- 4- 6 years Post Qualification Experience
- Degree(s)
- MS – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- LL.B (Hons), or equivalent (*JD, *LLM, *B.JURIS)
- *Risk and or Contracts Management may be considered from a reputable university

Advantage(s):
- Arabic Speaking
- Experience in a reputable Legal Practice
- Prior Consulting experience preferential (other Big 4)
- LLM, LLD
- Procurement Contract Qualified, Qualified Negotiator ,
- Project Management and Quality Management Qualifications will also be considered an advantage
