Leading UAE-based Bank has created an opportunity within their Project & Structured Finance division.
Working within the Global Banking Department, you will assist team members within in managing certain existing asset portfolios, conducting financial due diligence, preparation of high level credit applications and reports and monitoring allocated portfolios.
Reporting directly to the Manager, you will undertake responsibility and accountability for maintenance of an allocated portfolio of assets but will be involved in ad-hoc projects affecting the banks assets, from data management and reporting to secondary sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage certain existing portfolio loan assets and committed exposure which will include, among other things, close monitoring of risk assets; interim review, reporting any findings to management.
Assist in planning, identifying and market project finance and syndications opportunities globally.
Maintain high level discussions on allocated exposures with large corporate clients, high net worth individuals, government departments, employees, other banks, external lawyers and project managers.
Review feasibility report, financial statements and financial, legal and technical due diligence reports.
Examine credit, market and operational risk aspects of the transactions.
Achieve performance targets individually set and contribute in the team budgeted business target.
Appraise, analyze, scrutinize and comment on all information received from client including but not limited to financial statements, management accounts, feasibility reports market research report, valuation report, business report, financial/legal/technical due diligence report.
Prepare and recommend credit applications for obtaining approval from risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Finance related field.
- Minimum of 12 months Banking and Credit experience.
- Sound knowledge to review, analyze and comment on financial statements.
- Sound knowledge to evaluate all aspects or risk - market, operational and credit.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory environments.
- Ability to conduct project appraisals and due diligence.
- Ability to conduct strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent data handling skills, covering interpretation and reporting.
- Good knowledge of banking products and regulations.
- Education qualification in business and banking management.
