Application Executive - Ultrasound

Job description / Role

Internal
• Formulate Competitive analysis ( comparison between our units and the competitor’s )
• Reporting to the supervisor on daily activities, filling weekly reports. Reporting outcomes of demos whether successful or not and reasons behind the same.
• Customer profiling ( creating customer’s data base )
• Completing Demo form after each demo
• Completing training form after each training conducted
• Attending business unit meetings and division meetings whenever necessary

External
• Pre- sales training: after the demo is installed, the demonstration is conducted with the end user, the biomedical Eng. And the features and the benefits are conveyed
• The demo period could take from few hours to 1 week, where the application executive to stay at the hospital, instructing the use of the machine, and optimizing their understanding of the software and the capabilities of our products
• Trouble shooting with the end-user and finding clinical explanations of the issues that might rise.
• Overseeing the overall performance of the unit before installing and observe the ways it is used and learn to use each doctor’s approach.
• Aftersales training: scheduling the training with the end user and the bio medical Eng. department
• Getting all the aspects and the functions covered with the end-user and insure trouble free operations
• Installing new software and manipulating the existing ones to fine tune to the end-users need.
• Periodic check up with the end-users to maintain the clinical usefulness of the units.
• Full participation in the marketing events (Congresses, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and campaigns) related to MIU.

Technical Responsibilities
• Checking our demo units and insuring they are in excellent work conditions
• Maintain the demo units in excellent working condition and shape, and communicate with service department for repair or parts replacement.
• Performing demos
• Machine adjustment and tuning
• Setting demo schedules

Administrative Responsibilities
• Getting in regular touch with the manufacturers to come up with the solutions of the almost daily clinical request coming from the installed base

Requirements

• 2 - 3 years experience with Ultrasound machines
• Must have excellent application & sales experience
• Communication/ Presentation skills and have the ability to handle the customer needs.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
• Fluent In English & Arabic.

About the Company

Abul Qasim Khalaf Al Zahrawi (936-1013 A.D) known in the west as Abulcasis was born in Zahra in the neighborhood of Cordova (Arabic Qurtuba). He became one of the most renowned surgeons of his era and the Middle Ages. He is best known for his early and original breakthroughs in surgery as well as for his famous Medical Encyclopedia called Al-Tasrif, which is composed of thirty volumes covering different aspects of medical science.

The more important part of this series comprises three books on surgery, which describe in detail various aspects of surgical treatment as based on the operations performed by him, including cauterization, removal of stone from the bladder, dissection of animals, midwifery, styptics, and surgery of eye, ear and throat. He perfected several delicate operations, including removal of the dead fetus and amputation. Al Zahrawi is considered as Father of Modern Surgery.
