Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Coordinating daily operations of the Application Lab where the main task is to fragrance finish products and prepare samples for delivery
• Maintains a safe, clean/orderly and professional laboratory environment at all times; complies with company safety guidelines
• Maintains equipment and organized inventory; requests purchase orders or work orders for required raw materials, equipment or repairs. Maintain laboratory equipment, managing preventive maintenance and calibrations
• Manage staff by selecting, orientating, training, coaching, counseling, and developing personal growth opportunities for employees
• Provides application support/expertise to the commercial organization
• Programs needs for exhibitions, seminars, workshops
• Promotes and supports the introduction of our existing and new products / technologies
• Conducts stability / compatibilities / colouring testing
• Reports to the Technical Sales Manager
• Utilizes good communication skills, both written and oral; enters and maintains accurate and thorough records as required.
• Completes tasks on time according to priorities. Abilities to negotiate deadlines
• Maintain constant cross-functional communication with headquarter (BSL) and other affiliates
• Constantly improves ways how lab is functioning to offer the best in class service to the other departments, the sales team and the customers. Organizes laboratory setting and ensures optimal working conditions
• Ensures the replacement of team members in case of absence
• Ensures complete trace-ability (labeling, lab book, …)
• Checks the quality of samples leaving the application lab (bottling, labeling, …) and brings any adaptation
• Reports periodically on the lab activity

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant lab experience, ideally in personal care (skin care, hair care) or home care: knowledge with basic equipments such as pH meter, mixers, moisture analyzer,
• Leadership experience
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent team player
• Clear priority settings
• Flexible attitude, able to respect deadlines and to work accurately. Capable to manage multiple projects in an independent way
• Ability to motivate, stimulate, and inspire employees to maximize their efforts in productivity and quality
