Architectural Draftsman - 1 Year Contract

Job description / Role

Global Village is looking to hire an Architectural Draughtman for a 1 year contract (renewable). Below are the scopes and responsibilities:

• To comply with Global Village Vision & Mission

• Ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Drawing & 3D Production as per departmental requirement
• Integration of technical drawings.
• To assist project teams in producing conceptual and technical drawings for development proposals and designs
• To assist department in preparing proposal presentation.
• To prepare design development drawings for new projects, alterations and redevelopments for various projects in line with Company Vision and Projects & Development Manager direction.
• To prepare, develop and edit drawings, models, images and other documents relating to the design and ensure corrections are amended within multiple CAD related software’s under the guidance of the Projects & Development Manager or Departmental engineers
• To assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of facilities including, but not limited to critical facilities, infrastructure changes, Service and utility provision
• To assist with MEPF integration and interface during design and development stage for generating coordination drawings
• To develop, where required, representations of design options for further discussion by the design team
• To contribute, or otherwise assist, as required by the Projects & Development Manager or the Architect Engineer
• To assists in designing interiors based on department vision and architectural needs and requirements that are set forth by Projects & Development Manager.
• To produce good for construction, assembly and shop drawings as per direction of Projects & Development Manager or the Architect Engineer
• To assists with research and compile project related data as required by the Projects & Development Manager
• To assist in day to day documentation and keeping records of all the submittal and reviews.
• To assist department in creating 3D drawing for visualization
• To assist department in initial review of drawings submittal by consultant and contractors.
• To assist department in supervision of site work in accordance with GFC drawings and Specification
• To prepare BOQ and specification for all departmental projects

Requirements

• Should have through knowledge of product, building material and vendor details
• Should have knowledge of data recording system within office for drawings and correspondence.

Software Skills

• MS office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
• AutoCad, Revit
• 3Dmax/ Sketchup, Maya, Rhinoceros
• Vray, Lumion
• Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and InDesign
• ArchiCAD(Added Advantage)

Education:

• Diploma in Civil/Architecture from accredited program is required.
• Diploma in Computer Aided Design shall be added advantage

Experience:

• Must have worked minimum 8-10 Years on design
• Site Exposure shall be added advantage
• Must have worked with Consultant, Contractor and Client
• Must have dealt with statutory approval procedure
• Must have experience in MEP and Civil working drawings
