Job description for Assistant CMI Manager for Personal Care NAME

PLACE IN ORGANISATION
The role is based in Dubai and reports into PC CMI lead for NAMET-RUB cluster based in Dubai. The primary responsibility and accountability of this role pertains to PC CMI agenda in the NAME region. NAME region consists of five business units and this role will support the BU leaders in landing PC strategy in their countries.

EXPECTED WORK / SCOPE OF ROLE

Responsible for the delivery of specific projects within the insight work plan for Personal Care categories in NAME: Hair, Skin Cleansing, Oral, Deos and Skin care. This is a pivotal and core connecting role; not only partnering the Country Cluster Brand Team (CCBT) and related Cluster Leadership Teams but also connecting PC CMI with Category / Brand and with Country / Customer Development teams to guide CCBT decision making.

Key responsibilities would include:
- Support the cluster lead in business partnering with Personal Care leaders (VP, Brand Directors and Brand Managers) in NAME region
- Represents the voice of the consumer in all decision making in the business
- Leads category, brand, market reviews to drive short term and long opportunities in the PC business
- Leads Innovation projects which is are initiatives on Local Jewels and 20:10 projects (led by CCBT)
- Monitoring, analyses and course correction of innovation and communication projects
- Ensures that market/consumer knowledge is shared, understood and acted upon within the team
- Manages country CMI budgets
- Connect and Manages key business partners: Nielsen, Kantar and Millward Brown and leads relationship with CMI CoEs
- Manages day-to-day operations in the MCO
- Drives implementation of new Connected for Growth new CMI organization

Assistant CMI Manager for PC NAME is expected to classify and develop research projects based on Type ABC guidelines. He / she will create brief and briefs Innovation/Content Center of Excellence who will run the project, but will ensure to provide the category expertise and input. PC CMI is expected to debrief of results is partnership BP for PC CMI Manager and Center of Excellence with responsibility of driving decision into action sitting with the CMI Manager for Personal Care. All of the above will also involve problem-solving skills and high level of analytical skills (able to consolidate and integrate different data and information sources). In addition, the Assistant CMI Manager will lead some of the larger view projects for wider geography of NAMET-RUB cluster.

SCOPE AND KEY INTERFACES (Environment) and TEAM WORK

The position is required to business partner with three business teams (Gulf, Maghreb and Iraq-Levant) and support the cluster leader in two business teams (KSA and Mashreq). This calls for high level of integration with the team as mentioned below.

Key interfaces are:
- NAME PC VP for Personal Care in Dubai
- Brand Directors / Managers based in Dubai, Jeddah, Cairo / Alex and Casablanca.
- CCD CMI
- Category / Global CMI Team
- CTI, R&D, Customer Marketing, Finance
- Market Research Agencies, Advertising Agencies

Requirements

- 3 to 6 years of experience in market research
- Working knowledge of key measurement tools: Nielsen Retail data, Household Panel data, Millward Brown Tracking data
- Working knowledge in standard qualitative and quantitative methodologies (Skills on the level identified below)
- Can create research programmes for the platform needs and manage researches independently
- Personal Care related experience is a plus
