Assistant Cost Controller

Job description / Role

Assistant Cost Controller uses financial, budget and accounting expertise to support its superior to achieve cost savings and identify deviations from project plan by managing all cost control/reporting systems and procedures. Assistant Cost Controller supports evaluation of project costs to ensure that they remain within budgetary limits; assists in preparation of periodic financial statements.

Main responsibilities:
• Post new approved bar codes in ERP
• Post approved PWOs alterations in ERP
• Open approved PWOs on daily basis in ERP
• Closing of PWOs in ERP on daily basis as after proper due diligence
• Monitor daily the log of MR/PRs ensuring the completeness and correctness of submitted requests
• Assist in reviewing and comparing the Bill of Materials for the finished products on monthly basis
• Update the PWOs for any addition or replacement of the items required by the production based on SOs/Management approval
• Assist in preparation of monthly BOM analysis and the BOM Master, highlighting the discrepancies with the actual records and put-up for management approval in order to correct the Masters (MST) in ERP
• Prepare files for Master BOMs of all makes and sub-assemblies
• Release of the PRs and Purchase Orders in ERP (if approved by superior)
• Monitor intercompany prices and related STR/STOs
• Maintain the log of the Diesel/Petrol by assigning coupons to each request

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting
• A minimum of 3+ years cost control experience (Manufacturing field is an advantage)
• Fluent English
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel (V/H look-ups; Pivots; Graphs))
• Knowledge of SAP (ECC 6.0; S/4 Hana)
• Exceptional technical and analytical accounting skills, specifically in the areas or financial modeling, analysis and reporting
• Ability to work under short deadlines
