Job Description
Job Summary:
An Assistant General Technician provides support to senior technicians and engineers. The job duties of an Assistant General Technician may vary depending on the industry and company they work for.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting senior technicians and engineers in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of technical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshooting technical problems and identifying the root cause of issues.
- Operating and maintaining technical equipment and tools.
- Performing routine inspections and tests on technical systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Documenting technical procedures and maintaining records of maintenance and repair work.
- Collaborating with team members to develop and implement new technical solutions.
Requirements
Desired Skill & Expertise
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certifications or licenses
- Strong technical skills and knowledge in the relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, computer hardware/software, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in the field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and computer skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks
